Wingless ThoughtsA Poem by Kodizee
I gaze to the seamless somnolent sky-
My thoughts; my wings, I wish to fly. I clasp my cold crooked hands, Around the sun, Above lonely lands. Reaching ever upwards, To the region of my dreams. An eagle flies ever onwards, Over stony hills and streams. Will I find a place that's my own? Circling sorrows like a bird in the sky, Will I speak my heart, To someone who knows, What it means to be alone? Reality; standing there like a barrier, Between me and the open air. My conscience best take care, Lest I glide to the circling skies, Closer to the suns glare. © 2014 Kodizee |
