Till the Last Pedal Falls

This story is of a character named Yamato which is a young girl from a small town, also this story contains many fictional animals and abilities.

     There was this teenager girl that was running through the woods trying to escape a pack of wolves which had followed her from the river that she was bathing at when she cam up to this man standing in the middle of this small opening in the trees. The girl whispered as she passed by the man whispered as she hid behind him closing her eyes, "im sorry." She thought that the man would be killed and that she would be next but soon she heard horrible yelps coming from the wolves instead of the man. The girl was shocked and slightly happy that she was saved by those wolves, when she opened her eyes she said with delight, "thanks for saving me sir my name is Yamato."
     The man turned towards her but Yamato could see the mans eyes for they were covered by his spike hair which stood some what up but also drooped over both his eyes when he replied, "be careful, next time i won't be along to save you." At that moment after those words the man whispered something else, "and the name is Koda."
     Yamato with a shy looking smile on her face with lightly colored pink cheeks stuttered, "b-but thanks anyway....you r-really saved me from those wolves." she smiled after but with a happy smile as her blush faded.
     Koda's hair slightly moved away from his face long enough for Yamato to see that Koda looked like a teenage boy not at all like a middle aged man, also she noticed that his right eye was a dark red which looked a slight like blood and that his right eye was a dark blue which you would see at a lake in the middle of the night.
     Koda spoke in a slightly annoyed tone, "do you need an escort back home Miss Yamato?" When Koda finished he bowed his head. Yamato noticed the height difference between them, she believe that compared to her five feet and four inches that he was about six feet or even six feet and two inches.
Yamato replied to Koda's question,"yes i would if you wouldn't mind that is?" Yamato wondered something though from when she looked around not seeing even a piece of any of those wolves around and after she heard all that commotion.
     "I wouldn't mind at all Miss." Koda spoke before he started walking south through this maze of a forest before it got to dark, Koda could tell from how the sun was that it was almost dusk and that they would have to hurry in order to make it to the town in time."Hurry up miss or we will have to camp here tonight."
    Yamato said with a nod and started walking faster when she now just noticed a sword on the left side of Koda's waste and how it took the shape of a old style samurai sword and that also she could notice that Koda was wearing a desert cloak in the middle of summer and in the woods. Yamato was curious about this man when she asked, "how old are you Koda?"
    Koda kept walking and replied, "im turning twenty two soon actually." Koda kept his pace not seeming to be tired at all from this long and hurried walk."
Yamato was surprised she thought he would be younger then that but she took no heed to it. Before soon Yamato noticed the city but also saw that it was getting dark and that it would be dark before they got there, Koda started saying now, "you better run home now before it gets completely dark, there are some dangerous things out here." Koda chuckled at his comment since it seemed that he was speaking to a child.
Yamato gave a little pout before saying, "hey im not a little kid you know so you don't have to treat me like it!" She walked a bit faster though having a little doubt that Koda wasn't joking about this. "What do you think is out here Koda?"
    Koda replied with just another chuckle, "i don't think you would like to know." Before they both knew it the sky was dark and they were only a few minutes away from the town before Koda heard some horrifying howls coming from behind them before he turned around and said, "Yamato run to the city and don't ever turn around." he said this calmly though so that she wouldn't have to question or worry.
Yamato kept running before she heard the clash of two steels hitting one another in a violent collision. Yamato turned around for a moment and stopped completely seeing Koda with his blade drawn and a large wolf about eight feet tall almost twice the size of Koda, Yamato screamed to Koda, "Koda don't worry ill come and help!" she was worried and thought that she could help but, when Yamato came five feet from koda and this beast it pushed Koda aside and reached its claws at Yamato's stomach with enough speed that she couldn't get out of the way when, Yamato saw Koda in front of her the claws of the beast through the center of Koda's body and the claw went completely through his chest that Yamato could see it, "Koda are you alright?!" she screamed loudly.
    All she could hear was Koda's chuckles that soon turned to laughter, "of course i am Miss why wouldn't i be," he took a moment to take a breath and when he did he coughed some blood out and onto the ground, "better head home now and no complaining just leave as fast as you can." Yamato turned but before she could run Koda placed a bright blue rose in her hair that even she didn't notice.
Yamato was running towards the village and when she got there she called for everyone to go and help Koda, but before they could get there Koda and the giant wolf had disappeared not even Yamato new were they had went but to this day onward she keeps that rose and it never wilts or dies, and every time she looks at that rose she believes that Koda is still alive somewhere, and that one day he will come again.

This is such a beautiful piece. I couldn't find any mistakes in this piece. I like the way this story flows. I also like the action adventure part of this piece. Just masterfully written.
