Don't Screw It UpA Chapter by Mike ColeT-minus two hours till graduation Having already been accepted to
every top medical school in the country He was still unfulfilled His parents come into town to
watch his graduation Celebrate his accomplishment They watch him walk on stage So proud “And son don’t screw it up” He walks on stage Grabs his diploma Can no longer take the pressure Sprints to the bathroom His father follows after Arthur takes out a pill from his
pocket Eager to pop it into his mouth As his father walks through the
doors “Oh I didn’t know you took oxy as
well” “Arthur when I take it, it is
like an escape from reality” “Like father like son I always
say” Arthur enrages throws the pill
container at his father “You think this is normal” “Am I supposed to be this
miserable my whole life” “What is wrong with you?” His father gathered himself “Son it is an escape” “Important people like you and
me” “We need a break from those less
superior” “We are gods among men Arthur” “Once you are a doctor” “You can take my place on top of
the world” Arthur turned his face to his
father “Is that what you think we are?” “Better than everyone else just
due to money and power” “Who are you?” “You know what I’m tired of
