Tormenting NightA Poem by Kwabena Brako-PowersThe creation of darkness by recent power outage in Ghana compelled the poet and fiction writer to weave this poem in a most unique way for your delight. The night will be the usual, with mosquitoes singing in my ears. Their might increase when the light is overcome by the night. When the electricity is turned off for
nature to take its course.
I dread this night will be the usual, when the mosquitoes will pursue their prey with less resistance. When they will pierce their victim With the syringe affix their mouth.
It hurts that they cannot be resisted despite their midget size. they sing in excitement for the moment. The moment their size cannot deliver victory but
their mouth.
I dread this night with passion I
dread this silent night.
