Danger

Danger

A Story by Koach Katt

Finally free from the chaos; I laid my head down on my pillow an close my eyes. I pray to my god to take him away from our lives. I pray for it to be put to an end. I'm begging for his mercy. Only knowing it begins once the sun peeks over the hill.

As I open my eyes I hear it. He is now storming up the stairs. Then I feel the cold water that is now soaked in my bed an all over myself. He screams at the top of his lungs smacking me till I'm red. "GET UP FOR SCHOOl!" I cry running to the shower trying to leave before it gets worst. He shoves me down the stairs.

I beg my mother to leave him. I try telling her it will only get worst. She says "You are in the wrong not him." I can only pray for her mind to be opened.

I'm fed up; So I stand up feeling like a giant. Spit flies in my eye I only get more angry. I did what he told me to do when I was in danger. I kicked him where it counted then swing hitting him on his chin. He swings back an misses as my mother stepped in. I run to the bus stop.

That day was a beautiful one. It was the last one. My prayers answer. The beginning of a new time. The danger was over.
