Disappointment

Disappointment

A Poem by Ko11

I heard thundering and lighting everywhere.
I heard the children's dream crashing like a cars against each other.
I saw the disappointment in those children eyes.
I saw the tears rolling down their soft and rosy cheek.
I wanted to help but I do not have any good news to soften the blow.
I turn away from them because I could not look in their eyes.
I really really wish that I told them a lie so I can save them the heart ack.
I did not want their heart to break in a millions pieces.
I do not know how to put it back together.
How to you cure a broke child heart with ice cream and movie or keep them past their bedtime?
Can you please tell me the answer so their suffering would end?
It may save one kid from a broken heart.

Its good how you kept the idea in tact, just alot of use of "I", try to scratch the I and simply place the sentence with its action. Dont add yourself in it all the time as it becomes more about you than the children. Keep going. You can grow better.
