Carved In Stone

This is a poem i wrote when i lost someone close to me

I stood there above the body

He was down there seven feet below

The name was carved in stone

It seemed to hard to take

 

The pain i felt then

Couldnt compare to anything

The tears fell

I didnt feel like me

I lost me when it happened

 

But time came along

The gap that was there

Was now being filled

 

But no matter how long its been

When someone says your name

The tears begin agian

I still cant believe your gone

My dear, dear Grandpa

This was when i lost my grandpa and the pain i felt but then it got better...but i will still never forget him
