Our Brightest Light (Restored)

Our Brightest Light (Restored)

A Poem by Amanda Crandall
"

I wanted to get these reviews up for Luna's viewing pleasure.

"

The man of a thousand voices
Each sings a different tune
Each note precious and unique
No word casually strewn

You have given life to shadows
And in all of us, so much more
Cowboys, Knights, Angels, and Goddesses
Despite the tainted self reflections
we seem to adore

You have shown us your tribulations
With such beautiful, modest grace
Each visit to your realm teaches us more
That there are places in the stars
where we can take our place

You have never breached your character
Or stabbed the cat to save the dove
You taught me to trust the flow of my pen
And what God meant when he said
to your neighbor give your love

You have given me the courage
To leave the past behind
Robert, your words are the salve
To ease my troubled mind

Wow MMM. I am at a lost for words and you know that never happens. LOL First of all THANK YOU. I am completely flattered by this, this beautiful piece of art. You are such an amazing writer and inspiration to me continuously. I have never had anyone ever write anything about me. I am truly humbled by the words you say about me. To know I made an effect on someone is the greatest gift that I could ever receive. Thank you for your friendship and wonderful words of praise.

NOW LET'S ALL HUG ROBERT!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Well, as usual Amanda, you've gently brushed the zen of poetry with a grace that could make even the most beautiful waltz sound like a bowel movement. Robert Luna, the man whose poetry shares a common thread only in its perfection, who gives us all the much needed fuel to throw on the fire burning in all our hearts, could have no better muse than you, Amanda, singing his ode.

Amanda, this is a lovely tribute to a very special man. He wrestles with the darkness, so that he can share the light. You've done a wonderful job.

Robert, this is completely deserved. I can't think of anyone on here who is more open and honest. Follow your calling, you are on the verge of great things.

Robert, this is fully deserved. Thank you Amanda for writing such a tender tribute to one of the nicest guys on the site. And I'm sure Robert won't mind your nervous fumblings!

Think the last stanza says it all. The WC site would not be the same without his presence.

Nicely done.

Standing ovation, Amanda.......Way to go with this piece very well written and spot on about Mr. Robert Luna.... A very brilliant writer

You have never breached your character
Or stabbed the cat to save the dove
You taught me to trust the flow of my pen
And what God meant when he said
to your neighbor give your love

I think this was my favorite part... A really very, very nice tribute to Robert, who is a good friend of mine as well....

There are special people that really make a difference.
I love the ending..and know how hard it is to leave the past
behind..it loves to hide in the back seat floorboard..
congrats on a great poem and friend.
