What your Friendship Means to Me

This is a song about friendships, trying to hold onto a friendship that seems to be long forgotten

I pity the darkness for it has yet to feel your light

I often long for just a small touch of warmth from

your hands clasped in mine, so ready to take on the

world with your beauty and youthful spirit

Oh how enlightening your company brings me

in a sea of eyes I see yours sparkle brighter than all

so touching is your smile that it brings peace to my

quaking heart, so much pondering this old ticker has

felt, of what this life was about

You bring hope for the future, with your caring compassion

and I hope to god you hold on to the wonder and innocence

your face holds to this day

I pity any who have hurt you for they do not know the

power of their words on your soul, it pains me to see it's

strong hold, you hold tightly to what others feel about you

even though it is such a burden

I am just a voice in the crowd, the angel on your shoulder

that helps guide you to what's right. I am nothing more than

a song stuck in your head, the more you hear it the harder to

rid, and lastly I am a friend who hopes you the best and I hope

you think of me the same when you lay me to rest
