Not a Fan of ya Insomnia

Not a Fan of ya Insomnia

A Poem by K-mo

it's starting to take over again
I know it's my fault I met you at all
and to my dismay it's my down fall
that I'm awake through it all

What exactly do you want from me?
Don't you see that I need my sleep
because without it I start to feel the heat
and my week turns sour, I'm up every waking
hour trying with all my power to

Win this battle once again
I don't know why sleep and I just
can't be friends like way back when I
could count sheep, can't we do that again?
But here we are it's gone too far

Insomnia oh Insomnia
Insomnia I wrote a song for ya
Insomnia Insomnia I'm not a fan of ya Insomnia

Yes that's right, I'm up all night, but not because I chose to
It makes me blue just thinking of all the dreams I did lose
and it's all because of the one who refuses to let it up,
Your messing up my sleep at night

I don't sleep a wink, so I tend to think of what a crime
all the lost time sitting hear listening to people snore and
oh how I adore that sound, and I'm left here with no sleep
to be found

Insomnia oh Insomnia
Insomnia I wrote a song for ya
Insomnia Insomnia I'm not a fan of ya Insomnia

Oh, I suffer from this too and you've captured some of the feelings I encounter late at night. Great write!

Now that you mention it, it does have that coffee-jitter vibe to it. Sorry, I will always (try to) be honest. This is not your best work (here). But, it could be salvaged if you wanted to put a little more effort into thinking about what it really is. Is it a poem, a song, a prose poem, a statement on life? Yes, OK, insomnia but you haven't gone out of your way to make that insomnia something that we (your readers) should care about; and we need to care else why should we read? Not everything that spills out from between our ears is fit to print. Sad but true. Every writer writes garbage from time to time. It's as inevitable as the changing of the seasons. It's as predictable as faux-insomnia after drinking too much coffee before trying to sleep. On the plus side, drink enough coffee and you become immune to the effects; it'll put you right to sleep! :D

Thanks for the honesty, it is much welcome!
something I wrote when I was bright enough to drink coffee late at night and couldn't sleep a wink, so tell me what you think of it!
