All I know

All I know

A Poem by Klyn
"

A cheesy song I just wrote while listening to Lifehouse. :-P

"

Tripping on my own feet

Walking in the sand

I still can feel your heartbeat

While you held onto my hand

I don’t know why the wind blows

I can’t explain the sun

But I do remember those words

You said saying I’m the one.

I can’t recall the colors

Of each rainbow that I’ve seen

Or repeat every word I’ve heard

From the songs that they sing

I sometimes walk in circles

When I have a dream

The shadows of the faces

Don’t seem real to me

But All I know

Before you go

I’ll let you go

To find your heart again.

And all I know

Is what you know

I wish you well

To find your heart again.

I forgot the words to the song

That you always sang to me

And I don’t remember how I felt

When you were holding me

The memories in my mind just

Seem to fade away each day

My heart lost it’s wings to fly

And let you fly away.

Oblivious to the many things

That always led me to you

I draw a blank inside the box

I just don’t have a clue

Why the light escapes me

Even if the moon is full

I just don’t have the answers

Why is love so damn cruel?

But All I know

Before you go

I’ll let you go

To find your heart again.

And all I know

Is what you know

I wish you well

To find your heart again.

well, keep listening to Lifehouse because the outcome is awesome. You still have the touch. :)

I love Lifehouse and obviously you find them very inspiring! There is a sweet sadness here.. a letting go and moving on feeling of depth... A song so beautifully expressed.

Cheezy? Bah! A great piece of infectious
heart strings in the key of A-minor :)

This is wonderful, I really enjoyed this, I could imagine lifehouse singing this. Such powerful feelings, sad but well written.

This is very lyrical. Not cheesy at all. Heartfelt and I read it in an upbeat tempo to yet it was a bit melancholy.

Your words have a painful yet melodic flow. I could almost imagine this put into song because it's such a fluid read. Well penned. :)
