RAIN

RAIN

A Poem by Klyn

Sitting on my porch swing listening to the rain ping,
reminiscing of a childhood that should have been.
Splashing in the puddles and twirling an umbrella,
soaking up God's tears dripping from the clouds.

Playing in the free tide, watching a boat drift by,
Admiring a rainbow with all it's many colors.
The sound of flowing water resonating laughter
Pelicans are feeding at the misty harbors.

A sordid tale is told with black sky's looming overhead
The fallacy of true love turned to fantasy and pain.
Vicious crimes happening over and over again,
Untrusting words are spoken like pelting drops of rain.

Storming in thereafter sheets of crystal water,
A mirror of an empty shell abandoned and alone.
Lamenting on a dirty act woeful of the sinful fact,
The past is now the enemy the future is unknown.

The water a deluge of tears wafting away my fears,
carrying away bad thoughts in a tumultuous rush.
bubbling with excitement waves of pure fulfillment,
memories of a faded past flows away with a gush.

Soon the realization of guilt no more frustration,
Peace her heart can find and her soul can clearly see.
Forgiveness given wholly and the rain will always fall
But the sky's will clear once more; she is finally free.
