Disguise

Disguise

A Poem by Klyn

Washing away my face today, I forgot who I was supposed to be.

Becoming my own tormentor, I forgot what it was to be me.

Allowing judgment of others to form my acceptable societal being

Masking the true person inside that is unparallel to any.

We are so accustomed to disguising ourselves to others that

In the end we become disguised to ourselves, but only for an instant.

Because when we truly see the reflection in the glass despite its many flaws,

The sense of self is overwhelming clear to you and is clear to all.
