Black Butterfly

Black Butterfly

A Poem by Klyn
"

About my daughter, Olivia.

"
In a brilliant moment
I saw the wings aflutter
An achromatic being
Without a stall or stutter
With grace of finest silk
Her beauty is divine
Basking in the warm sun
An original design

She's mine….

Fragile are her wings
But sturdy is her heart
Many a journey to travel
And stories to impart
Learning how to risk
At times she may break
But this is when her wings
Expand and memories she
Will make

Let go…

I keep her nestled inside
My tightly wrapped cocoon
Sharing with her the stars
The sun and then the moon
Afraid of success to a point
She tries hard not to exceed
It's then she must open her wings
A time that she must leave
Larger Than Life…

And then she'll find her strength
Her wings prepared for flight
I push a little, not too much
To reach the greatest heights
And with each new discovery
She may find upon her way
Splashes of color fulfill her
Soaring freely all the way....

I Pray.

This is a beautiful poem. It was like for you to write this,
you became the butterfly, and so we all learn life's lesson.
