New OrleansA Poem by Kristina LumpkinsNew Orleans -Kristina Lumpkins Baby, come away with me. To a place where we can be free. Baby, lets go, just you and me. Lets go to New Orleans.
Its a place where Cajun is strong, and the history is deep. A place where music plays all night long, for its the city that never sleeps.
A place where the food soothes your soul. The French Quarter is a perfect place to stroll. The artwork there is beautiful. And don't forget about all the supernatural.
Its home to witches, vampires and voo-doo. Its got everything to fix what ails you. If not in the Quarter, then in the Bayou.
So lets go before it is to late Baby, please don't make me wait. Come on lets get out of here, Lets head for Jackson Square.
