Resolve

Resolve

A Poem by Klo Willow
"

An abstract reflection of something sore.

"
When does it stop?
When the memory dies?
When the offender cries?
There are no tears though; just an ugly, resounding, alibi.
Maybe it stops once it is 'truly over'.
Maybe at a time where the events can't continue.
Maybe because of different whim or venue,
or it is all just some deceptive innuendo.
But I know . . .
Never will it be 'truly over'.
As the memory will not die,
and there won't be a genuine cry.
I'll simply get by.
Damn any justifying alibi!

But the memories come back in a flood,
all because we share the same blood.
But I still see it so clearly, that bud;
all full of hope and naivety, covered in mud.
Change is all too rampant.
I just can't get around it.

It's true, if you have experienced something really ugly, you carry it with you whole your life. It's a luggage you can't get rid of. In my opinion, love and friendship, two great values in our life are the only things that make those ugly things fade away. They are still there, but imprisonned by stronger feelings. So you say in you poem: I'll simply get by. A bit of hope maybe. Well written.

Very relatable poem. The terrible things you go through are the things that mold you. Though it may seem like an awful thing, it may be for the better in the end. Thank you for sharing.
