Tryness <3

A Poem by Karli
"

A poem about saying goodbye to my sponsor child.

"

Somewhere out in the world, all you needed was care.

Somewhere in the world, your stomach was a beggar.

Somewhere in the world, you needed love, and kindness.

Somewhere out in the world...another child wept.

Somewhere in the world, people did care.

Six people gave resources to help you.

Somewhere in the world, those six prayed for you,

those six loved you, no matter what.

Then, out in the world, one less child wept.

One less child died, because someone cared.

That child has a family, and care now.

God has taken care of that child.

Somewhere out in the world, you are cared for.

No longer by those six, but by family.

You remain in the prayers of the six,

and your picture still hangs on the wall.

Someone else needs us six now.

Somewhere in the world, someone needs us to survive.

Somebody show us that child! for we are here.

One less child will weep today.

We stand here, sending our farewells.

Emotions run high, the heart stirs.

God's glory shines down, He is so proud.

That child...will be just fine.

We can never thank God enough,

for allowing us to do his work on Earth.

One less child went hungry, one less child was poisoned.

All because we gave our care.

Goodbye Tryness, you're a beautiful child.

Somewhere out in the world, your life goes on,

just as ours does,

as you are one less child who weeps.

Author's Note

Karli
So, six of us girls from youth group were sponsoring a kid named Tryness. She was beautiful, and amazing, but very unfortunate. She is at a continuous risk of getting aids, and is starving. We sent her money each month, and helped her out. One of her family members found her and decided to give her good home care, so we don't need to sponsor her anymore. We're all very sad, but VERY grateful that she's got such a great opportunity. We're sponsoring another child now. I know that God planned this for us, and you don't know how grateful I am to be a part of this plan. I'm not sad at all, but so happy for her. I just hope we can help more children, because it's something I'm so passionate about.

I know it's not a great poem, but I needed to write something as closure.
