What am I?

A little something I wrote during youth group tonight.

What am I?

I am the school of fish in the midst of a roaring sea,

the gliding eagle as it soars through open skies.

Perhaps, I'm the tiger creeping on its prey,

I'm the prey escaping the tiger.

This life has many versions of me,

for I am the cotton-like clouds

the wind as it reaches your face.

What am I?

It's quite simple, honestly.

I am the song on your guitar,

the melodic strums filling the air.

I am the leaf dropping from the tree in autumn,

the child jumping into a pile of them.

See? It's very simple what I am.

I am your loved one,

your very best friend.

What am I?

Child, you should know me by now.

I am the love spilling out of your heart into the world ahead.

I am everything God created for you,

for He loves you more than anything.

Author's Note

So, this week, in youth group, we had a message about art. We listened to Christian rock and did our own thing for a little bit. I decided to write this. I wrote one for my friend, too, but it's not finished.
