Crackling Flames

Crackling Flames

A Poem by Karli
"

Bonfires, and how fun they are(:

"

The logs support the flames,

as they reach for the sky.

Scented smoke colors the breezy air.

The night is here,

pull on a sweatshirt.

Crickets chirp in the distance,

venturing through the dancing grass.

Your friends clap and sing,

warming themselves by the fire.

That special one you love,

he's roasting you a marshmallow.

Sit back,

relax,

enjoy the bonfire.

This was a very happy poem and I like that! Your imagery was fantastic, very real! Makes me wish I had a yard to spark up a bonfire of my own in!

So often short poems sound so pleasing to the mind, this is really no exception to that, it's really a sweet love poem, well expressed with a pleasasnt flow, it played gentle thoughts on my mind. Thank you x
