Life's a Joke

Life's a Joke

A Poem by Karli
"

Don't take life too seriously- you won't make it out alive anyways.:)

"

What are we doing here?

What's all this mean?

Should this be important,

to you and me?

You hate life?
It's unfair?

Why does it have to be?

Learn to dance in the rain.

Learn to kiss when you feel you should.

Learn to love.

Laugh more than you breath,

dry that horrid tear.

Jump into a pile of leaves.

Have a snowball fight with your best friend.

Skip through a blossoming garden,

and watch fireworks with someone special.

Don't just wade in the water,

dive in and befriend the marine life.

Smile at the girl that hates you.

No matter what, live with no regrets.

Author's Note

Karli
Inspired by the song "These Days" by Chantal Kreviazuk, so some credit goes to her, even though I didn't use anything from her song. It was just very inspired by this song. Look it up!!:) This is a work in progress. By the way, I wrote this in like five minutes, so you can see I wasn't exactly aiming to make it amazingly good. I wanted it to be straight from my heart. :) <3

"When memories become so heavy that they are a burden, that is the day we stop living". Moral of the story... Live for the moment and don't be a slave to the past.
