The WallsA Poem by Kiwi.jh
There is a feeling,
It plants itself in the center of the soul, and lets its roots take control. It grows until your mind and heart are entwined in vines of loneliness. And you don't know how to remove them, Because every time you pull, they grow taller. They feed on your disappointment, and on the neglect that people have shown to you. They feed on shattered hope, and broken promises. And the more they feed, the more they grow. These vines of loneliness grow into the walls we build around ourselves. The walls that keep us from getting hurt. The walls that make us truly alone. © 2018 Kiwi.jhAuthor's Note
