And She Wrote

And She Wrote

A Poem by Kiwi.jh

It is a cruel world,

One that eats away at her heart.

She knew in her heart, that she was going to break.

So she picked up a pen, and placed words on paper,

And with every stroke the weight in her heart grew lighter.

She wrote to escape the world that picked and pulled at her soul

She wrote to express the endless feelings that had been captive to her mind for so long,

and she wrote to find herself.

A love for haiku poetry began in college, inspired by its simplicity and depth. The book Blue Harlequin captures these moments beautifully. Read the full article to explore the essence of haiku poetry: https://aoidemagazine.com/what-is-haiku-poetry/

I really love this! I think this would be a great introduction for a writer. Very visual, I don't have to pick through symbolism and I like that.

I love this poem. I can relate to it because, as a poet, I am so glad to label myself a wordsmith. I consider writing a miraculous gift, the way our thoughts, which are spirit, can manifest themselves on paper through a pen; the whole process, the act of writing, still amazes me.

So you have captured that necessity to express our inner world; and it makes us feel fulfilled like self therapy, and writing poetry, for me, is the best therapy.

WELL DONE!

I feel like this describes perfectly that first discovery of catharsis when you first begin to write, keep going!
