Mending the Broken

Mending the Broken

A Poem by Kittykat

This world is not the one I signed up to
Man kills man. The blood is rising
And one day that will be all that is left
Hatred, boiling beneath the surface

Our world will be divided
Divided by color
By religion
By our values
And all this because one thinks he’s better than the other

Are we going to let our world, our earth fall down
All we need to do is mend
Stop pretending we are okay, that our country isn’t broken
And start realizing that the problems can be fixed

Powerful and needed words Kittykat.
."Stop pretending we are okay, that our country isn’t broken
And start realizing that the problems can be fixed"
We must learn. We are one people and one earth. We must seek peace over war. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Have to agree Kittykat. Your words make a great deal of sense. There is room enough on this planet for people to live side by side and in harmony. The problems come when there is no tolerance. When some believe their God is the only one that matters and that their religion is superior. Enough to put you off altogether. All good wishes

Chris
