when i look at the sky,

stars shimmering,

your eyes glimmering,

feeling your hand in mine,

will this last?

this moment,

this feeling,

the way you make me smile,

can we last?

for a month,

a year,

a lifetime,

can I keep you for that long?

will you mind?

or should I let you go?

slip through my fingertips,

no,

I can’t,

I’d be lost forever,

lost without you,

without your voice,

without your love,

so please say yes,

say we’ll last forever,

say I can keep you,

say you’ll keep me too.

Just for a lifetime,

if not more.
