Tricked

Tricked

A Poem by Kitten
"

A tragic poem over two lovers

"

Tricked

To the ground we fall, both with one promise;

To fall together and hit the ground as one kiss upon stone

Lover and lover, we both caress

Leading towards our untimely deaths.

Yet as I fall you stay behind, dear

And when I look back it is, as I fear

The plan you had so slyly devised that

Only now did I realize.

Kitten
I was reading and I came across this tale of how these two people husband and wife were so in debt that they made a joint decision to commit suicide. The wife trusting in the husband jumped off the balcony expecting him to follow but instead, he let her fall to her death. He had made the plan to kill his wife so he could run off with his rich mistress.

A very tragic tale very well written. I can believe someone would do this.

Her Majesty's Dog. :)
It's fantastic, very poetic. One critisism, however. First two lines don't have the same rhyming pattern as the rest.
