Always RefuseA Poem by KittenJust something I came up with late one night and decided to upload. You say you’re tired of the games Say it’s me; I’ll take the blame Under earth, sky, and flame I chose a fire that won’t be tamed I choose for things to always change Yet, the laughable fact remains I will always refuse the chains You say I’m heartless, cold, and vain I say I’m nothing but a stain I will mark the ground with fame Screaming people will call my name Maybe in pleasure or in pain Yet, the laughable fact remains I will always refuse these chains You say you’re hurt, you say I’m strange I’m a mask that only feigns True emotions never came Forced honest answers down the drain My heart, my soul you’ll never gain You’ll try your best and I won’t complain But, the laughable fact remains I will always refuse those chains. © 2010 KittenReviews
