ButterfliesA Poem by Kita Tataki (Emily Conn)I wanted write you a poem. I'm sorry this was all I could do... :( Simplistic words can't convey that which my heart wishes you to know :/
You give me butterflies!
Can't you see them as they fly away with my heart? They go so high, carrying my hopes and dreams on wings of red flowing silk Rising upward on rosy heaving sighs. Their wings beat at the same pace As my heart when I see you, So they travel at the speed of light. You give me butterflies! And as they fly away to the diamond sky with my hopes and my fragile heart, I realize they are but false hopes and stone hearts. My butterflies slice the sky, Crumble to cinders in midair, And I fall with them. But it only takes a second To get lost in your eyes again. My eyes dart away, a shy smile plays upon my lips And once again there is air beneath the wings of my butterfly. And they soar yet again, higher each time, Defying gravity.
