Drowning WatersA Poem by Kita CapriA girl drowning in waterCaught beneath the ocean’s blue. Called your name and you pulled me through. But as I rose, the waves, they grew And again, they caught me too. This time you stood and all well knew That I couldn’t breathe under all that blue. So deeper I went and the quieter my screams got, I called your name But you were long gone. I yelled for help But no one came. My vision became dark and my body sank. People passed by without a second glance. I stopped trying And opened my eyes. My vision was filled with pure white. © 2024 Kita CapriFeatured Review
