Hollow Eve

Hollow Eve

A Poem by Kirsty Woodward

nights like these I just want to burn

it gnaws at my organs

and I can’t tell if it’s loneliness

or art

or both

no matter which,

they’re both screaming to get out.

i think artists have the lonely periods...those times of being unable to relate so much to others because we feel our own little world...friends only with the muse...it is the loneliness of art, mixed with the art of being lonely.
