Treading Water

Treading Water

A Poem by Kirsty Woodward

You have to save yourself darling
Nobody is going to do it for you
Especially he who pushed you under
Knowing you were already at a risk of
Drowning.

WoW!!!!
so very true......
important life lesson.......
always be in control......because only you are responsible for your actions.......if you have to check if a pan is hot......do not touch it and cry from the burn afterwards......what did you expect........instead throw some water on it and see the doubts vaporize.........

another beautiful poem.....
loved it!!!

So true...the light has to come from within, sadly there are those who know that light is vulnerable...nicely woven :)

Thank you Poppy :)
I like the way you think.
The sufferer must save themselves.

just when we get our weakest and most vulnerable...that is when we show the most gumption to survive...

i really like the last word on the line by itself...form reflects intent.
