The Rich People

The Rich People

A Poem by Kirsty Woodward

The Rich People

take your money abroad

fly to the other side of the world

eat your dinner

cooked by the hands of a poor man

by the ocean

take a picture of that beautiful beach

don’t forget to crop out the begging child by your side

don’t forget to barter with the owner of the souvenir shop

just to save a buck

party on the island

piss in the ocean

leave your mark

then come home and call yourself cultured.

Hahaha!! Ohhh, I'm surprised this one hits you the most. I'm glad.
Yeah! That is really a strong blow to those who do such things and then call themselves civilized. Such people are coxcombs, they are flushed with ostentation and do all such stuff which I classify as silly and awful. Great piece. Keep writing.
