Oh, Where To Put Her Body

Oh, Where To Put Her Body

A Poem by Kirsty Woodward

She didn’t want to eat breakfast this morning

and she doesn’t want to sleep tonight

She’d rather swing from the trees

listening to the men

sing their drunk melodies.

She didn’t want to go to work today

and she didn’t want to come home

this evening

She’d rather be swinging from the trees

listening to the men

sing their drunk melodies.

her mind and body separated, as she is from herself and her self-esteem...

their song may sound good to her in one moment.....but it slaps her across the face and belittles her in the next...and she just can't seem to change the record. it's the album of her life.
