Scattered

Scattered

A Poem by Kirsty Woodward

these false fluorescent lights

poison my mind

and you’ll sit there and watch your

game show

and i’ll lie in bed

surrounded by books

trying to remember who I am.

Such separation is blinding here...the "these false fluorescent lights poison my mind" is interesting also...the shedding of artificial it seems...superb...

This sounds like a couple who are stuck in a rut and need some quality time together to re-discover who they are (or quality time alone to remember how to appreciate the other) :)
