Losing Rhythm Around You

Losing Rhythm Around You

A Poem by Kirsty Woodward

Losing rhythm around you.

I thought i’d lost it for a second

this cloud took its time to pass through my mind

and yet the morning dew still lingers.

eyes all covered in moss.

clever... I like short poems. I hate eye snot in the mornings.

You went away for while.

A foggy brain makes me sleepy for weeks.
The way you have wittily expressed your sadness and feelings is appealing. Beautiful words have made this a lovely piece meant to be read and appreciated. Keep writing.

Thank you for the read, Vatsal.
the last two lines, so sad....the sad mourning...it extends often to the next relationship...

and those clouds can hide the new sun.

lots of sky can be covered with the few words in this...i love short poems that are so open-ended.
