Losing YourselfA Poem by Kirsty Woodward
When your head is just above water
You can feel the waves lapping against your Face Your body's tired Under Under And you tell yourself you'll come up for Air Sinking deeper And darker The pressure is Suffocating. The water has its tight grip Around your neck And you remember That you should've come up for air A long time ago.
