A passionate confession

So... It's been a while. I recently entered a new relationship and inspiration struck to write about my feelings. Hope you enjoy!

With simple words my heart is ablaze,
In a passion that consumes like fire.
Though we may have some distance apart;
Know, you're my one true desire.

My love for you burns like the sun,
In all its bright, enveloping shine.
The light you have brought into my life
Makes everything seem so fine.

I fear no darkness when you are near,
Your smile drives away the shadows
And In their place, your voice so sweet
Calls forth wonder-filled meadows.

This desire I feel- it seems so right,
Like a tree in a multi-acre wood.
The roots are deep, healthy and norished,
And the flowers bloom into the sweetest fruit.

My love for you flows like a mighty river,
Who's mouth reaches for the ocean blue.
And Just like her, the depth of my love,
Is unexplored, unknown yet true.

This desire I feel, the passion that burns
Is the most natural I have ever known
It consumes my days, my every thought
And has only grown and grown.
