Forever My LoveA Poem by KirstinTo you!Childhood
flavoured by harsh backdrops Unhappy
days savoured by solitary mountaintops Lost and
alone forming tides of woe For true
love I did not know
Faith was
borrowed, nevertheless fate was followed As it
unfolded, our love was moulded Past scars
grew to be summer harvests True love consecrating
a heavenly Jarvis
Take from
it what you may But please
my dear keep yesterday at bay For it only
offers memories of disarray
Oh my dear,
know now that life was reborn by you Oh my dear,
know now that scabs were adorned due to you Oh my dear,
know now who you are to me…
Caring and
beautiful you are Loving and
truthful you are Understanding
and mindful you are Thus know
now forever my love you are
Oh my dear,
know now that a wife be sworn to you Oh my dear,
know now that stabs no longer scorn because of you Oh my dear,
know now what it is you liken to me…
Looking
like a summer flower Resembling
a winters sunrise Smelling of
a spring breeze Burning as
an autumn fire Inevitably
forming endless bliss Seasoned
with an irrevocable love
Tender and
nurturing together we stand Laughing
and smiling together we ensure Impenetrable
and infinite together we will endure
For it was
you alone who transformed my world As it was you
alone who could bear my pain So it is you
alone I swear no vain; forever my love you shall remain © 2016 Kirstin |
