The Darkness

The Darkness

A Poem by Kyrie Eleison
"

I finally came back, and thought this up. Hope ya enjoy it. Always remember to rate and comment

"

When life gets too rough

I am called Upon

For my delicate Touch

To the light I'm the Dark

To the law, I am Criminal

I always hit the Mark

The Law tears me from my Finds

Breaking people is my Game

Even when they lock me back in the Mind

Don't you see that your laws are Lame?

To the dames I am a Win

To the gents I am a Thorn

I'm always looking for a Sin

Until I am once again Born

Flowing through the Trees

I watch from up High

Until I am finally set Free

The laughter will all Die

I am the laughing in your Head

The creaking under the Stairs

The rumble from under the Bed

The trap that will soon Ensnare

The dead speak of my Deeds

The living fear my Embrace

The fiends run when I Feed

You will cry when I show my Ace

For those who ask my Name

For those who gulp at the Answer

I simply smile at the Fame

Then I laugh with glee at my Answer

"I am Darkness."

I like this poem. It's simple, and yet at the same time, complex in content. It is very nicely written. This sounds like it should almost be a song. The way that it all fits together and flows just seems like it belongs with music.

There was one sentence I had an issue with. It was in this stanza:

>To the dames I am a Win
>To the gents I am a Thorn
>I'm always looking for a Sin
>Until I am once again Born

The underlined sentence was the one that seemed off.
To me it felt like it should have been: "Until I once again am born"

Maybe it's just me, that just seems to flow better with the rest of the poem. Good work, beautiful writing. Interesting and eye catching all at the same time. Good job.
