Hi.

Hi.

A Poem by Kiri J
"

Lyrics for another song-in-the-works.

"

 He said "hi."

And I said "hi."

And he said...

"Hi."

I said

"You already said hi."

He said

"I know, 'cause you make me feel

High."

I said

"Who are you?"

He said

"I'm the guy

Lucky enough to be standing

Next to you."

I said

"How long has it been

Since you discovered

That you liked me?"

He said

"I've loved you for

Twenty-two years,

I just didn't know

Till I met you here.

"You've got the eyes

Of a girl I dreamt of

You,

You have the glow

Of the Angels

Who carried you here."

And I said

"You've some nerve

Feeding these lines to me."

And he said

"Yeah, you're right

I'm ball of nerves

But you'll never find a

Lie in me."

He said

"I've loved you

For twenty-two years

And I can't believe

That I've found you here."

Oh, and there's one more thing

I should mention

In case I forget

At the end of our lives...

I loved you

Till the day I...

written in a very real way, for something that is a fantasy, that happened for real for you, i hope? very nice poem, very unique.

this is the type of poem that
stands on a fine line from seeming
completely wonderful or cheesy
and you managed to make it
purely beautiful

wow, this is beautifully written kiri, its like a love that was predestined, like someone in mind that, has in ways always been there, and you find them one day, and convince yourself, that wonders never cease.
a real, pleasure to read.

Discharging, yet inviting.
Memorable, yet new.
Whimsical, yet defined.

Beautiful.
A strange breed of affection, I find I've harbored, for you and these writings.
Immaculate to such concepts, I feel connected, considering the distance.
Should I know your voice, I just might die.

Oh, you are a clever one. dear poet,
to leave an imagination of till the day I...

die.

Let me finish.

No; it's your heart.

But I can sense the great love in such a fantastic poem;
it is full of life and made me smile;
I could see two lovers, forlorn, standing there as one together,
with the same smile exuded from the sunshine of your pen that breathed wind
through time
and into them,
into their hearts everlasting
that had seemed to be fasting;

Twenty-two years is a short time in this small life
of great emotions in a deep abyss of wisdom,
the truest,
love that does not die.

p.s.

"hi."
