Cliche` DJ

Cliche` DJ

A Poem by Kiri J
"

writer's block.

"

Writer’s block as the

Clock is clicking

Tock-ticking

Chipping away at my

Melancholy status

-Temporary hiatus-

There’s a glitch in the stitch-work

A patchwork quilt,

Keeping me comfortably numb

‘til I unwillingly succumb

Like a flood

To the dam

In the flow

Of the rain

Re-trace the tracks for my

Train of thoughts

The confusing cartography

Incorrectly directing me

A cliché DJ

Spinning broken records

Repeating

Repeating

Over and

Over and

Over

‘til it’s over.

Wow....really a great read! A unique twist on the dreaded WB………LOVE it! ;) I liked the broken record idea, along with the "cliché DJ"- so clever!
Nice work! X)
