Take My Train.

Take My Train.

A Poem by Kiri J
"

My darling friend Rachel's song that I played for her birthday in Dec '07.

"

Mellow colours fill my room,

It’s 5 am.

Fading fast as I have been since

Yesterday noon.

Saturday’s been going since

Thursday,

So I’m just hoping it passes soon.

It’s a little bit weird

That I can’t sleep

Without you here,

… so I’ve got an idea…

Take my train downtown,

Take my train downtown.

I’ve never been one

To hang around

But this time I’m

Hanging upside down.

Don’t think it’s fair

That I’m suspended in the air

‘cause you can see my naked soul

From way down there…

I’m just a train ride away,

And I don’t really feel like

Staying awake…
