I’m trying to find

 

The sense in bitterness.

 

The words in silence

 

The peace in anger

 

The comfort in hindsight

 

The line between white lies and kindness,

 

Between given rights and fault

 

Direction in logic

 

Conviction in confusion

 

Rest in exhaustion

 

Progress in the aftermath

 

My lesson in the paperwork

 

Tenderness in negotiation

 

Love amongst landmines

 

…And heaven only knows I have tried.
