Magician's cove

Magician's cove

A Poem by Wolf

In emerald froth near magician’s cove

Our azul freedom, jump to swim and rove

Crawling through the rock gap frame of door

The underwater train washes sound on shore

His violaceous hands stammer to greet

A vademecum of tricks and luridly petite

Rest here and air dry your profuse sopping
A sure thing to console a body that is sobbing

Homemade cards a hidden hindu shuffle
Forced sleights practiced to be subtle

Houdini with a stout and wild resolve

If you get us to believe, you will evolve

The magician’s dishonesty makes a fine charm
but recounting disillusionment won’t keep us warm

This is an interesting, dark, and intriuging poem. I enjoyed reading it very much.

the sense of a loss of that childhood innocence works its way pretty well starting the second little stanza, i like the contrast betwixt it and the first one.
