FrozenA Story by KiranziaRandom banterI am standing here, and its dark. So dark. The darkness is such that I feel like its seeping through my body, engulfing my brain, diffusing into my soul. I shudder, as I can see a faint beam of light somewhere but I don't know where its coming from. Suddenly, its very cold in here, and I cant breathe. My lungs are tightening against my chest, my mouth is gushing with cold air but yet I feel nothing. Then suddenly, I see them, I hear them. They are beckoning me over, waving at me, smiling. The light and the warmth coming from them makes me smile, but I just feel an elasticity of muscles in my mouth as I try to smile. I don't feel any warmth in me, not in my eyes, not in my heart. I still try to lift my feet to move over to them, but its as if the cold has rooted me to the spot. I stand there, for minutes, hours, eons, trying to move. Now they are leaving, their voices are fading, they are no more smiling'they are gone. Every single part of my body is frozen, the light is gone. Now, its so dark that I cant even see myself. But its no longer that cold, because I feel the warmth. In my eyes. The warmth of my tears''. © 2009 KiranziaAuthor's Note
