AnnaA Poem by Kira JayeMy friend Anna passed in a mo-ped accident this past sunday.... I write to mourn.
You
With your eyes screaming for help your voice too meek to ask your manner too humble to impose your smile dancing on your lips like a bright and glorious star You with your wind-chime laugh and so many kind words in your mouth and on your tongue You who would never wish pain upon a single soul no matter what they had done You who cried only in shadows so the others didn't feel your pain who watched over and cared for those who no one else would bother with You who thought you were too short or too fat because of venom laced lies from a jealous teenage boy, You who never failed to see the good inside the vilest of things or push aside feelings for the sake of someone else who was hurting You Are Gone. swept away by a just and mysterious hand for no obvious reason, something man cannot know. And all we know is it hurts to not have you here to leave all the broken thoughts unsaid to linger in the empty places without a shoulder to dampen with tears to always wonder why, and never know for sure what it's like where you are. To long to see your smile, if only one more time just to remind you how beautiful you are and tear the pain you once felt from the reaches of your mind. You Are Gone, As is your pain. No longer will you feel the cruel hand of depression on your throat begging for your breaths as you refuse and carry on anyway No longer will you wonder what you did wrong and cry to seemingly no one, save a soul with no reward, or scraping your knees, bleed. Rest in the just arms that rid your soul of mortal things and find peace while we grieve just a little bit longer.
