The Lady Who Lives In The SkyA Poem by KinI wrote this for a teacher who encouraged me. Luckily, I made another copy.
There is a lady who lives in the sky
Who waltzes with starlight and fox-trots with storms Gathers up diamonds to gift to the cosmos And sleeps with Lucy to keep her warm There is a lady who lives in the sky Who swings on the sunrise and floats with the stars Placates the wind with a gentle caress And climbs up the stairs to her bedroom on Mars There is a lady who lives in the sky Who harvests and sells the teardrops of the sun Makes thread from the sunlight that punctures through clouds And tames wild dragonflies for fun There is a lady who lives in the sky Who shimmers like stardust and smells of fresh rain Sings lullabies in the curve of the moon And kisses old wounds when they throb with new pain There is a lady who lives in the sky Who strings up the skyway and signals the start Maps out the chords to the tune in your head And plays the song that lies in your heart
