Memories

A Poem by Kin
"

This turned out more sad than I wanted it to be, but that's okay.

"
Why don't we sit down and flip through old photographs
Remember a time when love wasn't instant
It's okay if you cry for the world you've forgotten
I'll hold your hand and we'll keep reminiscing

X's and O's from a hand that lies cold
Kisses from lips that no longer hold breath
When grief sneaks upon you and clutches your heart
I'll hold you close until you forget death

Why don't we run outside into the night air
Feel every breath and the beats of our hearts
Let yourself get swept up in the beauty of darkness
I'll hold your image of this bright memory
