Without you

Without you

A Poem by Dreamer

Sometimes you are the sun,
without you I feel as if there is no warmth,
But then I wrap myself in a blanket.

Sometimes you are my memories,
Without you I feel as if there is no happiness.
But then I open my eyes to the world around me.

A world in which I once loved you.

Sometimes you are a smile from a stranger,
Without you where is my inspiration?
But then, I turn my heart to all the things that you are.

You taught me love so that is what I will teach others.
You taught me love so that is what I will look for in all things:
The sun, my memories, perhaps a strangers smile.

And I know I will find it there.
I will always find you.

This poem speaks to you about love and loss, about how someone once felt like your warmth, your happiness, your inspiration. But even without them, you learn to find love elsewhere, in a blanket’s embrace, in the world around you, in a stranger’s smile. It reminds you that love never truly leaves; it just changes form, waiting for you to find it again.

Thank you for the read. I loved it! keep it up
