In The Distress Of Time

In The Distress Of Time

A Poem by Onyia-Ali, Kingsley Chukwuebuka Benson
"

Weariness of the Flesh

"

In the distress of time
When the flesh is soulfully tormented
And the weariness of the body bridge
The gap of spiritual insipid
Throbbing for sin to be committed
Our body, our flesh becomes an anus
Through which we vomits
Heavy caress that trouble ours.

We said to our same
Is she not the man; women are undone men
In the shelve of the garden, where Eden
Took one woman caused this disobedience.

And some had said
A man had overcome this; ease weariness
Before his flesh, cry-out-loud-emotion
If we choose in this ill-will-commotion
He said, we must weep unto our soul.

We became choked bleeding our fleshly scent
To do those things they had done in the public
From where she gave us grape fruit
And eye open-stuck us blind's naked
Wearing the mouth, that leak the fluid
And vomit the seed through an anus
Unbidden speech overwhelmed the shame.
We became dumb, unable to speech
The ill treated weary and the flesh
All our spirit became sordid
Unable to intercede with the God

Because we are weak, carried by ill-passion
Lust spirit move ill-horizon
Being carried by ill-flesh
A soft boiling touch, intricate mesh
Easily deceived in warm submission intch.
