Interlude II: The Violent Carousel

Interlude II: The Violent Carousel

A Chapter by Alex Vidmar

      Ladies and gents, gather ‘round.

      I’m gonna play you a disturbing song.

      What you shall hear is the cry of the cannibal;

      The cry of the Insane.

      They walk amongst us,

      And blend in so perfectly.

      One may be standing next to you

      Ready to fulfill a yearn for blood.

      Sultans, Kings, Queens, friends;

      You’ll never know

      Who's one of the Insane

      And who is not.

      There are three types of people in Life;

      The Sane, the Insane, and the Sociopathic.

      All are dangerous.

      So I tell you, beware.

      All three are killers;

      The Sane become the Insane

      Who, in turn become the Sociopathic

      Who, in turn, are killed by the Sane.

      When the Sane kill the Sociopathic,

      They become the Insane,

      And then the Insane kill those who are Sane

      And become the Sociopathic.

      And the Sociopathic kill the Insane

      And the cycle starts all over again.

      Welcome to the Violent Carousel

      The Ride of Death that never ends!

I like the logic of this poem. It a mad world control by wealth and gun. The poem make sense. The ending is true.
